A black and white photograph carrying ambiguous implications about gender and identity? It must be the cover of the new Antony and the Johnsons EP! And there it is, right up there: Pierre-Olivier Deschamps' 1984 image of Japanese butoh dancer Kazuo Ohno, which will grace the front of Antony's Another World EP.
It comes out via Secretly Canadian on October 7 in the U.S. (October 6 via Rough Trade in the UK). As previously reported, Another World is just a teaser of the goodness we'll get on next year's The Crying Light, the follow-up to Antony's 2005 breakthrough I Am a Bird Now.
Another World:
01 Another World
02 Crackagen
03 Shake That Devil
04 Sing for Me
05 Hope Mountain
